Hi to all and thanks for all the suggestions about what amp to get. I went and did it on Saturday, buying a new Crate KX100 keyboard amp. Everybody was right on as far as needing a keyboard amp, and needing a 15" speaker. The store I got it from had a Roland set hooked up to a Roland 60 Watt with 12" speaker.... not too impressive. We hooked them up to this KX100, and wham....no doubt about which was going to get it done. And I've been real happy with it's ability to deliver high's more effectively than the PA system I was playing thru. I, as many, have suffered from the weak cymbal syndrome, beating the living heck out of the pads trying to get enough volume out of them. No matter what we did with the PA system, they just wouldn't come to life. The keyboard amp did it.... crank up the EQ for the higher range and they really took off - never sounded better.
