Subject: [DTXpress] DTXpress to another module (D4) via MIDI?


Is there any way to importsound via MIDI from my Alisis D4 module to
the DTXpress.  I have spend hours trying to figure it out. Anyone
know a solution?

What do you mean by import sound?

Are you trying to send a sample from the D4?
Very few bits of kit allow you to send there sample ROM over MIDI.
Samplers can send samples over MIDI, but it's painfully slow.

Do you mean a patch?
It's very unlikely that the two units have any thing in common, be it the
samples used, or parameters for  controlling what you hear.
Plus the fact that Sysex data is unique to each model, and manufacturer.

The only thing your likely to be able to do is play the sound in the D4 from
the DTXpress via MIDI.
