Re: Hi hat settings?

2002-04-04 by liberatusvirus

I'm posting way to much this morning, but many people have found hi
hat heaven simply by adjusting the decay setting in the Voice menu
to a lower number, sometimes a remarkably lower number; changing
frequency cut off can help open up the sound as well (the higher the
number the brighter the sound). Other parameters to fiddle with are
the sensitivity and offset, but these seem more likely to need
serious adjustment if you change hi hat hardware. I, for example,
have my sensitivity set to 0, but I use a Drum Tech Pole Pad for my
hi hat. I'd give you page numbers in the manual, but I don't have it
handy right now. Sorry.
