Re: Considering a purchase....

2002-04-05 by otacon28us

hello this is my non-biased opinion ,but the dtxpress is a great drum
system for the money,i demoed a roland v-club set,and while it was
quite good it felt a bit limited, plus the pd6 pads(the new roland
pads that are almost the same as the pd5's on the predecessor set,the
td5 kit) were still a little on the plasticy feel when played, while
the tp-60's and tp-80's of the dtxpress have a nice silent play to
them, and it's something in the way that they are designed, but you can
actually take a tp pad in your hand and push down on the playing
surface, and it has a somewhat anti-shock effect to it when this is
done(kinda hard to describe) it's kinda like the pad has a somewhat
of a suspension like in a car to cushion the impact(now i've really
got some people lost eh???) anyways for the money module wise, and
trigger wise i think that you would be much happier with the
dtxpress..

j.m.o.(just my opinion)
