Re: User Kits

2000-01-20 by chris thackston

No offense taken! Constructive criticism is always a good thing. I do,
however, disagree with you on a couple of things. I don't think two is
always better than one. The first kits I came up with were basic kits that
I needed for my sound and the kind of music I work on. There aren't a whole
lot of preset kits that fit my needs. The DTXpress sounds are good enough
to stand alone, I think. Having two layers is great if that's what you want
but I don't think a good kit means having two layers on every pad. I'm
interested in what combinations of sounds others are coming up with, be it
one layer or two. I, personally, don't care for taking up a pad with a drum
loop but you do and I've enjoyed monkeying with most of your kits. I don't
think your kits are "crap", they are a reflection of what you're into, as
are mine. I hope you'll post every kit that is submitted to you. One mans
trash is another mans treasure.

I have downloaded and listened to your MP3's. You're a good drummer. Put
more up if you like.

I never did get DTXchange to work. I use Dumpster.
