Hi PQ, There are basically three types of triggere; single, dual and stereo. For a great explaination of dual versus stereo look at post # 1597 in this group. The DTXpress has 8 stereo inputs (numbers 1-8) and two single inputs (numbers 9 and 10). You can use one input for more than one pad, but when you do this you will have the same sound for both pads. An example of where his may not be a problem is for setting up a double bass - usually if both sound the same it is not a problem. Also, you could have two crashes sharing one input. If you find you want more pads than you have inputs for, you can alsways add a second module or you can add pad to MIDI interface such as a the Roland PM16 to increase the number of inpurts you have. I hope this helps, but if you have more questions, just ask away.
