Under the Utility menu you'll find an option to set the volume to either "live" or "practice" mode. The knob controls the Kick in live mode and the Click in practice mode, so switching to practice mode will solve your problem. Just make sure the kick volume is where you like it before switching, because once in practice mode, you'll no longer control it from the panel.
