setting up the cc102st for maximum performance

2002-07-24 by majestic144

Ok,

i have followed everyones advice, and plugged my new pintech snare
cc102-st into inputs 9/10. I had to set the trigger type to "Misc 1"
for both the snare and the rimshot trigger in order for the rimshot
trigger to work. I also had to tweak it quite a bit for the rimshot
to trigger correctly.

First off... Where EXACTLY is the rimshot trigger? :-) It seems to
be to the right of the evans logo on the pad, which would be right
around 2'oclock on the drum pad... Is this correct?

Secondly... When I hit the rimshot as hard as I can, it only shows up
as like 20%... but when I hit the snare part of it as hard as I can,
it shows up as 99%... I thought that was odd, is there anything wrong
with it?

The tweaking I have done, so far, to get the sound I need from the
rimshot, and to get it to trigger (most of the time anyway), is to
set the Gain on the rimshot to like 65, and the gain on the snare
down at 50...

I am still getting crosstalk more than I would like to, and then the
rimshot is only showing up as a 20% hit when I hit it really hard...

I have also set up the rejection for the rimshot to reject the snare
pad, and it helped a little bit.

Anwyay, thanks for any help!!!!!

-Tim
