Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

You would do much better with a small PA system or a beefy Keyboard 
amp. The KC-500 is ideal. You need POWER for the bottom end. You need 
a BIG speaker. I you are looking for just a personal monitor system, 
with no other musicians playing, a BEEFY computer system might work. 
It would not be powerful enough if others (guitarists!!) are playing. 
For that matter, the Roland drum monitor system is not beefy enough 
for live play. So it is way too expensive for just a personal monitor.
I use a stereo pa with 275 watts per channel, thru a pair of 15's with 
horn mids and piezo highs. It sounds awesome, and I can get louder 
than the guitarist!
