Re: Stewart Copeland: No DTXpress content

Stew recently produced a track ("Dirty Drowning Man") on Primus's latest CD
- "Antipop"...as long as he stays active in the music biz there's still hope
that he'll release something with his playing on it! Since he's one of my
greatest inspirations (although I play nothing like him) it's nice to see
drummers still remember & respect him!

Still playing? I don't think you're that out of it, Graham. I haven't
heard anything from him in quite a while either.

So...I did the logical thing and searched Amazon for his name. I had
forgotten about this but he played with bass great Stanley Clarke in
Animal Logic after The Police. This was good stuff. Fusion, amazing riffs,
etc. You probably already know about his film/record The Rythmatist. If
not, definitely worth picking up. Mixes African rythms, animal sounds, and
his playing. Many movie sound tracks: Wall Street, Talk Radio, Rumblefish,
The Leopard Son (1996,back to the African theme). He's been keeping busy...
Wish he'd get back in a band.

Later,
Rick
