The headphone issue, in conjunction with the relatively low volume of the DTXPU's output, has generated a lot of discussion over the years. You would do well to run a search on "headphones" to get the long story about recommendations and technical points. But the short answer is, with many exceptions: get a closed-design, low-impedance, high-sensitivity studio set and don't scrimp unless you know you're getting a great deal. The better your choice of headphones is, the better will be your impression of the DTXpress sound. Good headphones are a revelation, no matter what you use them to hear. Some of us run the module and headphones through an outboard mixer and others run the phones alone through an outboard amp (I use the Rolls Headphone amp) to get better control of the volume. Still others, I suspect the majority, run headphones either through the front or back inputs. --- In DTXpress@y..., "gudcaretaker" <copsnrobbers@h...> wrote: > I just got my DTExpress2 today and am anxious to set it up.I will be > checking this group out daily for the usual helpful input. > Any suggestions for earphones? > Thanks.
