Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

I've begun to notice just how loud the DTXpress kick trigger is and it's 
potential to annoy all those around me no matter how gentle I try to be so 
I'm considering purchasing the Pintech mesh head kick trigger....I think 
it's the Concert Cast Silent Woven Head something-or-other. I've seen it in 
the Midwest Percussion catalog for $170 which seems much more economically 
feasible than the Roland pad. Has anyone had any experience with this pad?
