Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

I have been using the DTXPRESSII in a live situation for about the 
last 8 weeks. It has worked out quite well. I did switch to the 
DTXTREME trigger module because it gives me more control over each 
aspect of the kit. I use it in a lower level application than what 
would be the norm for a rock band, but as long as you have the 
amplification and mix control that you need, I do not see what the 
problem would be. I've played an acoustic set for about 37 years and 
never thought I would even try an electronic set, but I am begining 
to find great advantage in using this kit. You can get the same sound 
no mater what the room acoustics are, you can set you levels where 
ever you like and etc.! Maybe the guy you talked to at Yamaha was 
a "newbee" ? You brain and ears are usualy a better judge than 
anything or anyone else. If it works for you, go for it!
