Re: Pedals& mufflings..

Jarmo,
You can use the hihat pedal as an alternative to a second kick trigger. It
works well for fills but if you're looking to play long doublebass rolls it
is awkward since it has a totally different feel from the kick tower. My
suggestion is to get another kick trigger.

Hi all,

Thanks guys for vital information...I needed that. So my pedals are Pearl
P-101. I think they are great(yes, and I play mostly jazz stuff and
metal-prog too), but one thing is not so good...the beater eats my acoustic
head although it is four sided(you can change the sides from felt to
plastic). I think if I will use the felt side with the DTX kick tower with
total mufflings I will get the lowest noise achievable. Am I right? So my
question...do you guys play double pedal stuff with DTX? I mean, when I will
buy this kit I am considering to buy another kick tower for doubles. But is
this necessary, have you guys tried double pedal with the kick tower? Is the
kickpad too small for that? And hey...if somebody has sound files of the
DTX(DTXpress or DTX v2.0), gimme site or e-mail me, will ya?

Cheers,

Jarmo
