Bottom line:
E-Kits on the market can't do things real drums do.
BUT - for most Top 40, rock, etc. they're fine.

I'm experimenting with a laser driven pad that will
do these things, but impractical for the market
( $1500 a pad ).

Also, current sound modules aren't really designed to
deal with all these subtlties, as they must gate
the pad input to prevent false triggers. So,
you'd also need a radically different triggering / sound module.

But for $1000, it's great. I got one - Neighbors don't complain :)
