Hi Giles Hearn provided a basic MIDI analyzing program in the file section; it's one of the utilities. Just install it to your computer and monitor the MIDI input port. It should make troubleshooting a lot easier. Notwithstanding the inordinate expense of changing sequencers, if you did use Cakewalk, you'd find more posts in the archives to help you. But many of these posts may still be valuable. Run a search on MIDI and see what you get--or on a specific difficulty. Post 1120 provides a summary of many problems and solutions. Good luck.
