Re: snare/rim separation

2003-01-17 by liberatusvirus <liberatusvirus@yahoo.com>

I wonder whether Yamaha, in the guise of being user-friendly,
created a defeatable link between certain snares and rims with the
idea that more often than not, drummers will be grateful for it.
Whatever the inconvenience of that strategy, it is a royal pain to
try and match rims and snares through the older modules. Rather than
hunt and peck, I'll bet that I might well have taken them up on
their suggestions if I'd had them--especially if they were
defeatable. But if I'm right, there should be an easier way of
disengaging default rim and snare than shutting down.
