I believe that your module is currently in the "live" mode rather than the "song (?)" mode. In that case, the primary function of the click knob is to control the kick volume and of the song knob the snare volume. Scroll through the "Utilities Menu" until you get to the page that allows you to switch from "live" to "song" mode; then you should be able to pacify the click sound.
