Get yourself a Pearl Quad Beater for your kick pedal. It's a beater that has four different sides to it, all shaped differently. Use the side that is felt and horizontally cylindrical. Positioning is key here. Try to get the beater to strike the pad precisely in the center, as flat as square as possible. I did this and haven't had a lick of trouble with my KP60 since (about six months with no dropped triggers). I know this might sound flakey to some, but my KP60 was just like everyone else's. It dropped about every fourth trigger after I had it only a week. I haven't opened it up, sent it back, changed cables, anything. Just changed the beater and adjusted it as described above. ____________________________ Jim
