Hi Brett, Welcome to the fold. User kits are stored in permanent memory unless you change them. The module has a nonrechargeable internal back-up battery that protects the data when the power is off. It appears to have a pretty long life. I haven't heard of anyone yet finding the "battery low" warning on their screens.
