Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

A bunch of companies make bar pads. Pintech has two mono models. One 
has a 9" playing surface, the other a 6". Both are reasonably 
priced. You know about Yamaha's from Under'heaven. Drum Tech makes 
one, called the Pole Pad, which has two mono outputs for two 
separate sounds, though both sections can function as one sound 
through one of the outputs. I have the bigger Pintech and the Drum 
Tech, which is a marvel.
