Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

First off I got my extra cymbal pad, so thanks to those who 
explained what I needed. I got a PCY65S. Moved the PCY65 to the 9/10 
input, then installed the new PCY65S where the PCY65 was.

I got a new sound card (multiple inputs) and now I'm not able to get 
a decent recording level out of the dtxpress2 module. I was thinking 
of using a preamp to boost the signal, just wondered if anyone else 
had done that? My only concern would be the preamp coloring the 
sound too much.
