Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hi!

I know that this list is for DTXpress users, but are those of us who have
plain old DTX kits welcome? Are the two products close enough that what
applies to one might (with some reservation) apply to the other?

If this isn't a good place for us DTXer's to be, can you recommend a better
place?

While I'm in the neighborhood .... :-)

1) I have a DS10 kit with what I believe is a DTX V ** 1 ** module. The
version number that comes back in the
identification sysex message is 0 and the module did not come with the V2
logo on it. (I bought the kit from someones back inventory so it is probably
at least two years old at this point.)

o) Does the "0" in the identification message mean version 1, or is there
another way to find out?

o) I have seen references to an upgrade but have never seen a reference
about how to get it or how much it costs. Does anyone know anything about
that?

2) And, tying it back to DTXpress, I've read that the Xpress has "pad
songs". From the discussion, I don't find an equivalent feature in my DTX
module. (A feature I really could have used about two weeks ago.) Does
anyone know if the DTX V2 module contains this feature?
