Re: [DTXpress] DTX (not xpress) Interlopers

2000-04-03 by Chris Thackston

As the list "manager" I will agree with Giles that I have no problem with
DTX users contributing. It's good to hear another perspective. I don't
want it to be an official all-encompasing Yamaha list, though. I think
it's good that xpress users have their own place to freely discuss their
specific equipment ideas and concerns without the confusion of many other
models being talked about. That in no way excludes those with other models
interested in chewing the fat with xpress users. The bass player for the
band I'm in now owns a set of Vdrums and I've been playing those as much,
if not more than my kit. As a matter of fact I've taken my DTXpress brain
over to his place and connected it to an Octapad to use alongside the
V's. The other guys in the band FREAKED when I incorporated some of the
wierder sounds and loops in the Yamaha with everything else. I know I've
already made a short story long, but the point is that while this will
remain a DTXpress list, owners of other kits are welcome to join the
discussion. As for activity drying up, I think Giles is right
again. There's only so much that can be dicussed until another problem or
concern comes up.
