Yes.

Mine doesn't. I guess that's another confirmation that I have a V1.

> Pad songs? Where did you see this and what does it do?

I had seen references to pad songs in the archives of this list and a
reference to them somewhere else that I now cannot find. In reviewing the
references in this list, I see that I may have read into the feature what I
wanted it to do instead of what it really does.

It appears that the DTXpress lets you attach songs from the sequencer to
various pads. You can then use a strike of a pad to stop/start a song.

The piece that I thought I had read, but am no longer sure about, is that I
also thought that you could set it up such that each strike of the attached
pad generated the next note from the song at the struck (not the sequenced)
volume.

In other words, say I sequenced "Mary Had A Little Lamb"

	E D C D E E E

In the feature I was thinking about, the first strike of the attached pad
would generate an E, the second a D, the third a C and so on.

As I say, I quick scanned the archives of this list this morning and went to
Yamaha's DTXpress page. I find the pad songs feature, but I don't find it
the "step playback" capability.

I could really have used such a thing (step playback) a couple of weeks ago
so I guess I read what I wanted to see, not what was actually there.
