Hello, Just to make this thread complete I thought I would post what happened. I tried what Vern suggested (see earlier post) and was still getting the same problem. I then tries turning off midi thru on both the sequencer and the module alternatively. This did not help at all. But what I found was that as I changed drum kits while recording the module was going crazy because of this loop, so i figured there must be a way of not sending this information to the sequencer (i.e. record the change of drum kit). I looked in protools and sure enough there is a choice not to send this function through and it now all appears to work fine. I can record MIDI information and while recording change drum kit BUT not record that I have changed drum kit. I LIKE MIDI. (just in case you are a pro tools user the choice was to deselect send program information). Once again it is the users fault..... me bad.... thanks for everyones help.
