Wow, Matt, there is some definate improvement in you keeping time correctly and coming in after fills. Funky For Fun just sounds more musical than the other stuff you put up too. Now your understanding the theory of keeping time every time. Once you have perfected this art making more advanced pieces of your own is going to be extremly fun. As long as you have a steady beat in your soul, playing whatever you want should come along nicely with dedicated practice. Congrats and welcome to a world whereever everything revolves around time and numbers. To practice even when your away from your drumset try walking in a steady tempo, or pay close attention to the time of other drummers you like, wheather they're awesome or not. Another fun trick I'm trying to master is the guessing of what time it is every so often. A drummer must be aware and must know where in the measure of music he stands at all costs, just like in the song that are lives are, and your life will become, as a drummer. Let us know when you post more stuff! Maybe I should try a few beers sometime...funky! -UN.H --- In DTXpress@yahoogroups.com, "mhd31971" <mhdevlin@n...> wrote: > hey guys I got a few beers in me and starting aactually adjusting > some drum voices and goofing around and came up with a a track that > i decided to throw up on my web site.
