antman... The only time I ever really noticed my crashes cutting off was when playing along with the on-board songs. With 32 voice polyphony, sometimes notes with long decays are still there when new notes are still being played, so the 32 voice max is exceeded. Earlier triggers will be terminated, truncated, cut short...no ceremony...no taper or fade, just cut off. If you are not playing to the songs, I shudder to think you are playing fast enough to excede the limit, unless a lot of your voices have long decays, or a lot of lingering reverb.
