No, no external software comes with the DTXpressII. If you want to 
hook it up to your PC, you'll need cables and appropriate software 
for your PC. You can connect it either using the TO HOST method 
(which connects to a serial port) or using standard MIDI cables which 
you can connect either to the MIDI connectors on your sound card or 
to a USB port using a suitable adapter. As Ed has said, you can then 
download software that will allow you to send drum kit definitions to 
and from your PC over MIDI.

Trust me... you won't need it for a little while, you'll be having 
too much fun with your new toy...
