Quick way to change the overall volume of a pad?

2003-06-05 by Vernon Graner

Ok, so this may be a silly question, but some of you get to play with the
module more than I do... :)

I have had to do a factory reset more than once due to strange happenings
with my module (lots of static electricity in the room where I have the
kit). And, as expected, I lose all my custom kits. However, when I go to
recreate them one of the first things I do is change the hi-hat volume to
be much higher since IMHO, the factory default is *way* to low. So, on to
the question:

Is it possible to apply a "global" volume boost that would make the
sounds assigned to the hi-hat pad (Closed/Open/HalfOpen/FootClosed) *all*
louder, no matter what kit I select? I don't want to change the
sensitivity of the pad or the gain as I am getting goods responsiveness
from the hat pad and I don't want to fight the "self/rejection
specific/rejection wars". I just want the hat to be *louder* for ALL kits
(like you can do with the kick and snare volumes). For now, I just go to
a kit, adjust all the hat sounds way up and then save it as a custom kit.
It's effective, but cumbersome and I'd like to find an alternate route...
Any ideas?

Vern
