Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hey all,

I'm a new drummer, DTXpress is my first kit, I started playing two 
months ago.

Anyway, what I need to do is have my snare pad trigger a snare voice 
AND a tamborine voice (simultaneously).  Something verrrrry very 
common in drumming, right?

I've tried recording a Song, wherein I hit my snare and tambo pads at 
the same time.  A 1 measure, 1/4 time song. The song seems to work; 
when I hit START on it, in the main screen, I hear the snare and 
tambo.  But when I press VOICE, whack the Snare, and then set it to 
Func: Play Song, and change the Song # to play to the song with the 
Snare/Tambo (97).. Well, the problem is, when I hit my snare, instead 
of hearing two drum voices, I hear TWO KEYBOARD NOTES... You know, 
like a piano, playing two notes at the same time.

So the song plays fine in the kit/song selection screen, but when I 
trigger a pad to play the song, it sounds like I was playing on a 
MIDI keyboard, with a Piano MIDI patch instead of a Drumkit one.

Can anyone help me?  thanks in advance-
