Check those nuts!

2000-09-05 by Mr. Lauri Kero

Hi everyone!

A word of warning that I don't think anyone has posted yet.

In the pads there are flat little nuts(?) that hold the jack in place.
One of mine just fell off when I unplugged a pad and the jack
fell in the depths of the pad casing. Didn't take two minutes to
get it out again, but it was a frightening experience as it doesn't
seem possible to open the pad without damaging it.

So, tighten those nuts. Maybe you would even want to apply
some thread glue (like Loctite) or if that sounds like too big an
investment, I've heard the lady's (or you own?) nail polish is
	good for the job.

(Would you call them nuts? Is there a special term for those
	flat ones?)
