Ed...been really busy doing doubles at work to pay
back all that time I had off this past winter and
summer. Once Oct gets here, I will be "hooking up"
next winter and summer-so continues the cycle of
killing myself then resting. My Dad has been having
really bad back problems, so on Thurs. he is having
the disc repaired...must run in the family...I also
have had a herniated disc, but predisone and a good
chiro have helped me a little. I imagine in the years
ahead, I will be having that same surgery-since I hurt
my back 3 yrs ago, I haven't been the same. It's hell
getting old!!! Anyway, I haven't lost track of the
group, I often read the postings and keep informed on
what's going on here, and like I stated earlier-I am
sickened by the porno...why all of a sudden, ya know?
I truly believe Yahoo is getting to be a bunch of
low-life cons-They really frigged up the Dixie Chicks
website-I was one to join it last Feb...paid the 30
bucks so I could get pre-sale concert tickets and
great seats....well to make a long story short-I got
timed out just when I submitted ticket/credit info to
their Bflo. show....I HAD 4th row from stage seats!!
Aprox. 3 hrs LATER I was able to resubmit the order
(after countless phone calles to ticketmaster, HSBC
arena, and Yahoo-NOBODY would accept the blame-and the
same thing was happening ALL OVER THE USA to thousands
of fans! I ended up with good seats-up one level-but
they were not the prime seats bragged about by
Yahoo....plus the Chicks website on Yahoo leaves a lot
to be desired...so if this is the way Yahoo is
starting to do business-by selling us out-then maybe
it is time to move on. My concern is that who ever
hosts the DTX site has to realize that they are fully
comited to running and the up keep of this site-it's a
responsibility that requires consistency and
sacrifice...are they ready for that? What happens if
they can no longer maintain the site...where will we
go then?
And any word on Walt?
