Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

i have visu lites on the way... and a snare drum to convert into a 
eletronic pad with a good feel but after that i am at a loss of what 
to do, i am considering upgrading the brain from an aging DTX2 
to somethign better - just im not sure what - i may just decide to 
add soemthign to it such as a DM5 however i do not need lots of 
pads (i like to keep my kit small ish (at the moment it has one 
crash, hi hat and ride, snare, 1 hi tom, two floor toms and a kick 
drum)

to be honest i dont like the sounds from te DTX much, i am 
looking for better snare and cymbal sounds - does the DM5 offer 
these? - i have decided the best way to get around the mono only 
thing is split the sterio cables into two mono ones so i can 
assign them as completly different voices on the DM5 - i am sure 
adaptors can be purchased to do that..

so.. should i go for the DM5 or look at other ideas?
