Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hey huys,
Was just wondering what method some of you might use when recording 
the DTX. 

Heres what Ive been doing...
Load up the song on my Korg D1600, inout a mono line to it from the 
kit. Set up a record trigger. press record on the dtx, play along 
with my music on the korg, and have it all recorded. THEN, I go back 
to the D1600 and listen, making sure that all my rythmns are right 
and fills are where i want them. I then wipe out the tracks I 
recorded onto the korg and begin pulling the DTX into it one track 
at a time.

I may do several versions too being that I have 128 vittual tracks 
to mess with.

Im really interested in midi and how that all works.
