Introduction and Pintech pads

2000-10-31 by Colin Lewis

Hello, I just signed up.

I have had a DTXpress for about a month. I am using it as a practice
kit for my once-a-week church group gig.

Here is a small tip: I have added two of the Pintech Dingbat triggers
( http://www.1ie-drums.com/pads-triggers.htm ) to my set. They are
the same diameter as the rack tubes. I removed the endcap from the
Dingbat and inserted it into one of the DTX clamps. My only complaint
is that they are not as sensitive as the Yamaha pads. Adjusting the
gain has only been partially successful.

Speaking of sensitivity, there are six "attenuation" switches on the
back. Am I correct in assuming that you can only make inputs 1-6 more
sensitive, but you are stuck with inputs 7-10?
