Re: [DTXpress] Response from Yamaha on HH65/HH80 and the DTXpress1/2 Question

2003-09-24 by Vernon Graner

Ok, so the way I interpret this is that the DTXPress module can discern
up to 127 discrete steps of open to close position on the hi hat pedal,
yet the pedal the unit comes with produces only 5 steps (i.e.
0/25/50/75/100/125) and they use a capacitor to "glisaando" or
"portamento" between the 5 steps?

So, we can get a roughly 20 time3s improvement in hi-hat pedal response
by replacing the HH65 with an HH80? Am I interpreting this right? If so,
it sounds like an HH80 would be a good investment in kit improvement!
