specifically for the DTXpress is becoming a treasure hunt (I'm
probably not looking in the right spot). Being something of a newbie
to the electric drum world, can somebody direct me to a solution -
i.e. a good online source for the original YAMAHA parts, or
compatible dual trigger pads (snare and symbol). Thanks!

Hi Dan,

Welcome to the party. The e-drummers' webstore of choice is probably
Drumbalaya.com, which carries, or can obtain, just about everything
manufactured in the e-drum world. Ed and Charlotte Morin, the brains
behind the outfit, are also very accessible. Drum Central Superstore
also deals Yamaha, but their prices are too high and policies not
always up front. Midwest Percussion has at least a few Yamaha
components, at good prices, but most internet stores just sell the
complete DTXpressII. From time to time, members of this board sell
their used equipment. We've started a classified section at our
sister site, dtxpressions.com (though I seem to be the only one with
gear to sell at the moment). I've sold rack parts, triggers, MIDI
devices, etc. to group members in the past. I hope that we can keep
buying/selling internally.
