I have now successfully used the dtxpress as a trigger for gigasampler, and it works fantastic! Virtually no latency (which I think is what makes gigasampler popular) and excellent sounds. The only problem I have now is that I only have one drumkit library for the giga (from drag and drop drummer www.dddrummer.com). Most of the sounds from their dry kit are excellent, but the ride cymbal sounds like a really bad musical triangle. I guess I can just split up my work into separate tracks in my sequencer and continue to use the dtxpress ride cymbal sound, which is much better. At any rate, the setup works very well (after I remapped my kick and snare drums to midi standard note numbers 35 and 38, respectively).
