I also purchased a Hart Accusnare for my dtx kit - it definitely was the best thing that I have done. I used the extra pad for a second floor tom (added some new pipes and fittings to extend out the right side of the rack). Are you using a stereo cable (tip, ring & sleeve) ? I can program a second sound (usually a rim shot) and it works most of the time using the standard "snare" input.. You do have to hit the rim pretty hard to trigger - make sure the trigger sensor is positioned where you hit the rim. You can see the device attached to the inside wall of the drum.. To make the Accusnare really work right, you would probably have to run it into inputs 9 & 10 but I didn't want to use up the extra inputs. Lee Kanne wrote: > HI all...
