Re: [DTXpress] Problems with kick drum volume when recording (a little long)

2000-11-20 by pdk

Joe,

Welcome to the list. There are a few of us non-Xpressers here, myself
included (DS10), and we're allowed to post as long as we don't make fun of
the red stabilizer have-nots.

Bizarre kick problem. I can't say I've seen anything like that (I assume
your brain is DTX v2) and I've plugged my kit into a mixer and my 400 watt
peavey PA a hundred times without any problems.

Do you find this problem with all the preset kits or just some of them. And
is it true for whatever kick sound you select? What's it like through
headphones?

For some strange reason I've always preferred to plug my RCA jack into the
aux port on the kick tower instead of the main one. You might try that.

Apart from the explosive kick, how do you like the kit?

p.s.: Maybe you've just got an incredibly strong right leg, like a world
class cyclist or field goal kicker.
