I assume you are in the US. Yamaha pads turn up on eBay from time to
time. In fact, you just missed four TP80S pads this week.

The Pintech SE-102 works ok, and is a 10.5" pad. It runs a
little "hot" and there's a wide dynamic range over the pad unlike
the Yamaha which is very even. The module will need some tweaking to
ensure the hotspot isn't a problem, but the playing surface is
arguably nicer than the Yamaha pads. I find the wide dynamic range
useful for ghost notes, but the hotspot can't be tweaked out
entirely and it takes a little getting used to.

Or you could spring for a mesh head pad. Pintech ConcertCast pads
work well with the Yamaha module and have been recommended by
several board members. Again they turn up reasonably frequently on
eBay - check out Iron Mountain Music particularly. They currently
have two mono pads for $69 each.
