Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Question: DTX2 hi-hats and cymbals come in for a lot of stick (no pun 
intended)on the forum, but are they really that bad? Has anyone had a 
real go at tweaking them and making sure the drums don't overpower 
the cymbals. Or is it the case that they're just not up to the job?
