I have had my DTXpress II kit now for about 7 months. Lately, the bass drum pad has developed an annoying problem: The center of the pad (where the beater makes contact) no longer responds properly. Sometimes it makes noise, sometimes loud, sometimes quiet, other times no sound at all! I found that moving the pedal so that the beater makes contact to the left/right/bottom of the center solves the problem (if you'd call that a solution :- ( ). The funny thing is that the "eq" on the display shows a reading from the bass, even when no sound is produced... Anyway, has anyone else experienced this type of problem? I have reset my module, and checked all connections and cable etc. with no luck. Does it make sense that only a specific area of the pad would go dead? Is there something that I can do to revive my stubborn drum pad?
