RE: [DTXpress] KP-60 modifications

2004-01-21 by Creighton Higgins

Hey Boomer-
Every now and then I get to brag that by "fixing" my kp60- I got a great
bass pad. Star with this link: http://www.electronicdrums.com/pads/pads2.htm
. If you have the courage to build one of these- (pretty easy if you're
handy) the hard part is mounting the pad to your kp60 tower. You will remove
all the kp60 insides which leaves a rectangular opening on the face of the
tower. I used a short length of steel that was laying around the shop and a
bolt that fits the stud in the back of the pad. I got a digital camera for
Christmas and will happily take pix if you want- it will take a couple of
days. Anyway- this is a $20 upgrade that has lasted for a year so far with
excellent results.

I discovered that someone bought a Remo practice pad and mounted it
to the KP-60 tower in order to use a double pedal. Anyone have
details on how this was done?

Thanks Ken
