Hi Rolf, Good to hear from you again--one of the DTXpress pioneers. Yamaha's HH80A, from the first DTXtreme, is basically the same style as the 60, but covers more ground between open and closed--if you can find it. The HH65 from the DTXpressII seems to have received a good reception as well. Everyone of these controllers, however, suffers to some extent from a constricted area between open and closed, which we investigated on the board a while back. If you can wait a month or so, the DTXpressIIISP hi hat, which is on a traditional stand, might be worth serious attention, though no one in this country has had access to it outside of NAMM. You can check out the video for the entire DTXpressIII kit from a link in our recent archives or at Harmony Central. Another hi hat on a stand--this one with two cymbals that actually open and close--is the Yamaha-compatible Visu-lite RHC. It is based on the electronics of the HH80A, but if you like something that simulates the action and feel of an acoustic hat, it may deserve consideration. It requires a bit of setting up, and, from what I've heard, it might not be as road-worthy as the others. I must also admit to lending a hand in its creation. Ed
