It has been said several times on this bulletin board that the DTXpress hi-hat cymbal sound is either open or closed, but disappointingly nothing in between. Well, I fiddled around with my "open" sound and found that by making the DECAY=+15, I got a nice soft and kind of chunky sound with my foot slightly off the pedal. It's worth trying. I've just fallen in love with my DTXpress all over again!
