Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. O.K. I'm feeling reborn.. well drumming wise that is. You have to understand I was/am a drummer in a past life (back in my 20's). Now in my 40's with a daughter taking up percussion in the school band I was faced with how to get her started on a kit. After a little research and some luck on finding a used DTXpress II at a very good price locally we've now turned our family room into the Drum Room. The bug bit me hard as I already have all the inputs taken up. I replaced the TP65 that was the hi-hat with a PCY65 (better hi-hat feel in my opinion). Moved the TP65 as a 4th tom and bought a second PCY65 and two Gibraltar boom cymbal stands to mount my crashes (a big thanks to Scott and Ed at Drumbulia for hooking me up). I've stared to tweak the hi-hat to make it usable and found the layering trick is well worth the effort on all voices. Soo that's where I'm at. Have a kit and starting to give my 13yo lessons. Even taking the kids to see Rush and Neil Peart in July. It's good to find a long lost love once more!! In this case DRUMMING!! Regards to you all, D~man
