Wow! That would be very cool to have a Yamaha guy on our mailing list! But this seems like a Band-Aid "fix". While turning down the accompaniment might make the mix good, the overall volume level is still too low, in my experience. Again, no big deal to me as I'm going through a mixer to boost the headphone level anyway. The interface on the module in regards to the access to the bass and snare levels is very clever. I just strongly suggest a reconsideration of headphone output levels for DTXpress2. We discovered that when the volume of the Drum set is not loud enough in comparison to the internal songs or an external CD player and the volume of the drum set is at the maximum, one would need to turn down the accompaniment volume when using the internal songs and turn down the Aux in Volume when using an external CD. These can be found of the front panel of the DTXPRESS panel. You can also adjust the volume of the Bass drum and snare drum from the front panel as well as going into the voice function. If you hold down the shift button and rotate the Accomp volume, the snare drum volume will increase. Likewise, if you would like to increase the volume of the bass drum separate from the voice function, you would hold the shift key and rotate the click volume on the front panel. I hope this answers your questions.
