Re: [DTXpress] adding a rim trigger to a TP60 pad

2001-02-06 by Mark T. Owen

While possible, it is difficult (virtually impossible) to isolate the two, hence Yamaha's decision to use piezo in the centre and FSR in the rim of their two zone pads. Two piezo's will simply work like the two layer voicing that you already have available to you in the DTXpress. ( I have tried two piezo's on my own home-built pads...)

Has anyone ever tried adding a piezo to the rim of a TP60 pad and
wire it to 9/10 input? I seems like it would by possible, just
wondering if it is possible.
